Sensory Processing Disorder/Dysfunction & Autism

Children with sensory processing disorder have difficulty processing information from their senses (touch, smell, taste, vision, and/or hearing) and responding appropriately to that information. They can have one or more senses that either over- or underreact to stimulation. This can cause behavioral problems and inhibit development.
